Winners of March into Art 2008

 

On Children's Creativity Day at River Region Art Gallery in Gonzales the winners of the 2008 March into Art Show were announced and prizes awarded.  Joe Lackie, artist from Baton Rouge, judged the competition. 

There were 105 entries total in the four divisions of painting, drawing, photography, and three dimensional art.  Children entered from twenty eight different schools.  St. Theresa School was awarded the Louisiana Art Spirit Award for the best participation in the show.   The spirit award was accepted by Janice Ament, art teacher at St. Theresa.
