Helen W. Fernandez Helen W. Fernandez (formerly from the Lakeview area of New Orleans) currently lives in Gonzales, Louisiana. A native of New Jersey, Helen received a B.A. in Geology from Jersey City State College with a Minor in Secondary Education. She became licensed as a massage therapist in 2001. Her husband, Timothy, is a professional wedding photographer. Helen is currently working in database management for the largest IT company in the country. Her current interest include quilting, counted-cross stitch, traveling, and, of course, spending time with her three grandchildren. Helen began making jewelry in July 2005 after taking a jewelry making class with her daughter, Jill. She instantly became hooked! Helen is continually evolving as a jewelry maker. Design and creating jewelry is completely different from anything else she is involved in and is great therapy. Helen uses mostly semi-precious stones in her unique jewelry pieces. Her Swarovski crystal lariats are always in demand. Helen also designs beautiful wedding jewelry. And she is available for private consultations. Helen has exhibited her jewelry in local shows around New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas.
