Robin Rotolo

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico but have lived in Chicago, Baltimore, Oklahoma City, Idaho Falls, Cheraw, South Carolina, Louisville, KY and now in Gonzales, LA, being almost 60 years old, I have spent time in colleges, workshops, various special classes and have had private lessons….but….in pondering the biography I was asked to submit for the article about my art, I wanted so bad to list my studies as being in depth or with great artists you all recognize,  My training is life lessons learned from the greatest artists in my life…my mother who had the imagination to make fairy castles out of tin cans and stuffed animals out of old pieces of rags, my sister Laura who is one of the most talented water color artists in the world, to my cousin Kathy who paints colors that vibrate and pictures that draw me to them and to my best friend in the world Suzan who I have not met face to face (she lives in Calgary) but whose photography will be famous one day, no doubt in my mind and from my dad who can make silk purses out of sows ears every day and my brother who did it all, day after day, he always had the faith that he could do anything he put his mind to doing and he shared that with me until the day he died. My most recent teacher has been my dear husband who keeps me grounded to what other people see too.

So, here you have it, my art, a mess of pasting and gluing that I hope reflects my sense of humor along with my sense of art, sharing some fun in my collages, creating some interest that will bring you back to look again and again….(what is that little bear doing in the boat???) and my jewelry that makes each person that wears it feel special because they have one unique piece that no one else will ever have.
