On Going Oil painting classes Oil painting classes will continue weekly at River Region Art Gallery Every Wednesday evening from 6pm - 8 pm Instructor: Jan Hebert Class fee is $45 for 4 weeks. Call Jan at 622-6593 for supply list and information. Beginners and intermediate both welcome.

August FOLK ART ON WOOD PAINTING CLASS Date: Saturday, August 28, 2010 Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (With a 1-hour lunch break) Instructor: Mary Crochet Location: River Region Art Center in Gonzales
Cost: $60.00 Objective: Will learn basic use of acrylic paint and how to clean, sand and prepare piece for painting. How to transfer a drawing, paint and seal a piece will also be covered. Supplies: Student must bring a wood item to paint and also his/her own brushes. (Wooden items can be found at local craft stores.) Do not bring metal, glass, plastic or cloth items. Acrylic paints are included in the class.
